Morgan Brittany Wies is a 16 year old junior at Sandy High
School. She has lived in the Rhododendron area most of her life. Morgan is a
kind, warm, very thoughtful and gentle person. She enjoys reading and art,
especially sketching and designing formal evening dresses and accessories.
Morgan loves to “dress up”. She fondly recalls her special “Nights in Hollywood”
sweet 16 birthday party in February, at the Skyway. |

In December of 2007, Morgan and her mother
Shirley began to notice that Morgan was becoming
increasingly tired, having headaches, and becoming weak in
her right arm and her right leg. In January of 2008, Morgan
was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On January 15th,
within a week of her diagnosis, Morgan had her first
surgery. On June 19th, 2008, Morgan had her second
surgery. Since her second surgery, Morgan has completed
multiple chemo and radiation treatments. Morgan and her
family are currently waiting to see the effectiveness of the
treatments.
Morgan is very thankful for her family and
friends. She is also thankful for the many strangers who
have blessed her and her family financially and emotionally.
