Artists

These were the featured artists for our event on May 20, 2006.

Roger Shenk
Life can be ironic. Funny sometimes. And it can knock you sideways too. My experience of God has been that he is the ultimate "antifluff". He's the prototype of down to earth. His wisdom doesn't just give you nice feelings -- it's filled with grit. Might rub you wrong, but also might polish your life to a radiant shine if you apply it consistently.

Chris Tissell
I've been doing music since I can remember, and a singer/songwriter since high school. I grew up around a diversity of music from the Beatles, James Taylor, and Billy Joel to the sounds of the eighties: the decade I began to play piano. Since then I've been strongly influenced by Dave Matthews, U2, Switchfoot, jazz and the angsty noise of my generation.

Andrea Wellard
Andrea was never one to settle for normal, both in life and in music. Early in her musical explorations, she was constantly exploring new ways to express herself through music. She was not one to be content with just a little talent, but like the good servant of the parable, she quickly turned her talent into many talents. For someone so young, she's already come a long way in her musical journey.

African Gospel Acappella
African Gospel Acappella is comprised of six men from the African country of Liberia. They represent five different tribes and sing in several native African languages, and in English (English is the official language of Liberia).
The primary goal of African Gospel Acappella is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through song and testimony. Secondly, the group desires to focus awareness on the plight of people in Africa, especially the disabled.

Eastridge Band
The Eastridge Band is the Eastridge Church Worship Team. Our goal is to make music that grabs people's attention and directs it to God. As we do this, we also look to model different expressions of worship so that different expressions of God's creativity (that is, different personalities) have an example of how to express their worship wholeheartedly.

Stephanie Chadwick
Stephanie Chadwick has been singing in and around the Northwest since 1993. With a focus on music ministry in local churches, Stephanie has seen firsthand the power of God through music and how it changes lives. Stephanie has a deep passion for worship and for leading God's people to a closer relationship to him through music. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and Los Angeles, California, where her father worked in the Christian Music Industry for record labels such as Benson, Priority, and Word Records.

Rescue
RESCUE is drawing in listeners of all ages. Their sound is described as fresh and exciting, as they have developed their own captivating style that brings listeners into an entertaining and worshipful arena. Influences include the well-known Take 6, Rockapella, and Acappella. With the doors that the Lord is continuing to open, RESCUE is looking to take their music to every corner of the globe.

TVICE
The sound of this group spans generations and musical leanings. While aware and always searching for a unique melody, rhythmically this group constantly pushes themselves. Incorporating off-time signatures into an eclectic repertoire of rock, funk, jazz, and ballad-like tunes, they possess an uncommon depth and versatility.
